Where are you based?
I grew up in Berlin, Germany but have been living in Broome, Western Australia for the past 10 years.
Do you shoot weddings?
Most definitely. In fact, weddings are one of my favourite things to photograph. Please get in touch to find out more about the different wedding photography packages I offer.
What other types of photography sessions do you offer?
I offer couple, family, maternity and newborn lifestyle photography sessions.
How would you describe your style?
My approach is natural and candid. I shoot in a documentary style, which mainly aims to capture people in situations & real-life moments. My aim is to tell peoples’ stories with beautiful images and to capture those fleeting moments.
Where can I find your prices?
Just drop me an email with a bit of info on what you’re after and I’ll get right back to you.
How do we lock you in for our shoot? What’s the process?
Easy! Send me an email to see if the date you had in mind is still available. You can either use the contact form or drop me an email to email@example.com. This is your chance to tell me a little bit about yourselves and what your inquiry is about. I will then send you some more info including my pricing guide.
How do we receive our photos?
All your photos are individually edited by me and presented in a beautiful password protected online gallery, which you can share with family and friends. I will also provide all final images as high resolution jpeg files on USB so you can print and share them as much as you wish.
What about an album?
I offer beautiful, custom designed fine art wedding books, handcrafted in Australia by Lone Pine. These lay-flat albums are next level and archival inks on quality paper ensure your album will be around for many years to come. The cover material is available in linen or leather and many different colours and you can personalise it with debossing and foiling options. You can find out a bit more about my albums here. Trust me, you will want one!
What equipment do you use?
I shoot with professional Canon equipment including two full frame Canon camera bodies and an assortment of high quality lenses. Having a lot of natural light to work with is important to me and I will only use my flash when I have to.
We are shy in front of the camera & feeling a tad nervous about having our photo taken.
Yes I know how you feel, I am the same! You’ll be fine. I tend to shoot documentary style and there will be no awkward posing. My aim is to catch you in the most natural way. Sometimes I will offer a little direction and we might go around together looking for beautiful locations and gorgeous light, but I’m mostly interested in catching the ‘in between’ genuine moments, giggles, quiet romantic scenes and letting you just be yourselves.
Do you believe that same sex couples should be allowed to get married?
For sure! I am so happy that same sex couples are finally able to get legally married in Australia. Yay!!
We are getting married at Eco Beach. Do you charge extra for travel costs?
No, there is no additional travel fee for Eco Beach weddings. Saying that, most other remote locations in the Kimberley will incur a travel fee. Get in touch to find out more.
What’s the best time of the day for our couple shoot?
For outdoor sessions in general my rough recommendation is to schedule for either early morning or late afternoon to avoid brightness, heavy shadows, squinting eyes and the heat.
Do you have business liability insurance?
Do you supply us with the unedited files from the day?
No I don’t. It’s like ordering raw chicken at a restaurant, the job is simply not done yet, and its not professional. The love, time & care that goes into every individual image as part of my post processing is just as significant as the capturing of the moment itself, and defines the end product that you receive.
Do you photograph events?
Yes, I do.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, I do. Find out more here
How do we book?
Email me, tell me your story. If I’m available on your day and you’re ready to book, I’ll set you up with your own online booking system. A booking fee/retainer of $500 and a signed agreement are required to secure your wedding date. The amount is deducted from the final balance due and is non-refundable as it guarantees your wedding date. For all other types of sessions (e.g. family or maternity) full payment is required prior to your session. Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.
We have more questions. Can we catch up before we decide to book?
We sure can! If you’re based in Broome I would suggest we grab a coffee or lunch and chat. It’s a great opportunity to meet face-to-face. If that is not possible because of distance, then Skype or the good old telephone are great options, too.
