A wedding party of five women in pink dresses and five men in white shirts and tan pants stand together on rocky ground under a clear blue sky at Coconutz BnB at Coconut Well, holding flowers and smiling.

The Location & Setting

Coconutz BnB is located in Coconut Well, approximately 25 kilometres north of Broome in the north-west corner of Western Australia, and boasts a coastal bush setting with extraordinary views. The property features two fully self-contained eco tents, each with a queen-size bed, private ensuite, and outdoor stone bath. Nestled among tropical gardens and natural bushland, each eco tent accommodates up to two adults and two children.

There’s also a pool overlooking the landscape, generous lawn areas perfect for a ceremony set-up or long-table dinner, and plenty of open space to shape the day in a way that feels completely your own.

The property offers complete privacy, ensuring an intimate atmosphere for you and your guests to celebrate without interruptions. Lisa and Jason Stone are the dedicated hosts of this unique Broome wedding venue and happy to assist. A breakfast hamper, inclusive of cereal, juice, sourdough, bacon, eggs and fruit is provided as part of your stay at Coconutz BnB.

This Coconut Well venue is a beautiful blank canvas, which means you’ll need to organise the practical elements yourselves. If you’re planning to host your reception on site, this includes arranging portable toilets, lighting, furniture hire and styling. My Broome Vendor Directory will come in handy.

If you’re only holding your ceremony here, the logistics are much simpler – making it a far more relaxed option to coordinate. You can still enjoy the incredible setting.

Ceremony & Reception Spaces

At Coconutz BnB the options for your wedding ceremony are as relaxed and beautiful as the setting itself. The expansive lawn area in front of the main house provides a perfect canvas for your ceremony set up where every guest feels comfortably close. The lush grounds and poolside area just next to it lend themselves beautifully to a cocktail hour with ocean views. These areas include relaxed lounge settings where guests can mingle and enjoy the views. On the lower level you’ll find another large area, perfect for receptions under the stars. This space includes plenty of room for food vans and DJ set up. Whether you opt for a beautifully styled long table dinner, a casual buffet or a cocktail-style setup with lawn games and late-night dancing, the space can be adapted to suit your vision.

Off-Site Photos on Cable Beach

The stretch of Cable Beach that’s often associated with Coconut Well sits along the same iconic coastline just north of Broome. This is part of what makes this venue so appealing. From Coconutz BnB, it’s just a short 4WD drive down to the beach access. This makes it easy to duck down for sunset portraits. That quick off-road trip adds to the adventure if you ask me. Besides, this stretch of beach feels quieter and more untouched than the main tourist end of Cable Beach.

Off-Site Photos on Willie Creek Plains

If you’re not drawn to beach photos but still want something dramatic and uniquely Broome, the plains near Willie Creek are an epic alternative. Not far from Coconut Well, the plains offer a completely different but equally breathtaking backdrop for your wedding portraits. This wide, open Kimberley landscape includes grasses, scattered gum trees, termite mounds and endless sky. At sunset, the light spills across the plains in the most incredible way. Everything turns warm and golden. You’ll need a 4WD to get to this location. Fortunately, it is only about a 10 minute drive along a dirt track from Coconutz BnB.
