Helicopter Options & Pricing

All flights are priced GST inclusive in an R44 helicopter, which can accommodate a maximum of three passengers with a total payload of approximately 240kg. Additional flight time can be booked in six-minute intervals at a rate of $148.50 (GST inclusive) per six minutes.

For larger groups, Frontier Tours offers a Bell 206 Long Ranger, which can carry up to five passengers with a total payload of approximately 290kg. However, as the larger helicopters are based in Derby, there are additional ferry costs for transport between Derby and Broome. Please note that the Bell 206 Long Ranger has a higher hourly rate than the R44.

Eco Beach Resort – From $2,227.50

Eco Beach Resort, about 130 km south of Broome, is located at a remote and unspoiled stretch of coastline and is best known for its breathtaking beachfront location, eco-friendly accommodation and dramatic red cliffs. Activities like kayaking, fishing, guided cultural tours, and whale watching (in season) make it a nature lover’s paradise.

Flying from Broome to Eco Beach in a helicopter is an unforgettable experience. From above, you can truly appreciate the contrast of colours—the deep reds of the pindan cliffs, the lush green of the bushland, and the brilliant blues of the ocean. • Additional cost of $297.00 for picking up and dropping off celebrant/photographer/guests at Eco Beach Resort.
• Quick flight over Barn Hill before heading back to the resort: $297.00.
• Helicopter must leave Eco Beach 45 minutes before the last light.

Quondong/James Price Point – From $1,633.50 

Quondong and James Price Point are two stunning coastal locations, approx. 50 km north of Broome in Western Australia and renowned for their dramatic red cliffs, pristine beaches, and turquoise waters. This stretch of coastline is part of the Dampier Peninsula and holds immense cultural, ecological, and scenic significance.

• Flight from Broome to a secluded spot between Quondong and James Price Point & return via Cable Beach, Gantheaume Point, Broome Jetty & Roebuck Bay (approx. 1-hour total).
• Very private location, not accessible by car except on rare tides.
• If a celebrant/guests drive to JPP, a helicopter can pick them up for $297.00 each way.
• Helicopter must leave 45 minutes before the last light.
• Option to fly one-way and camp overnight at Quondong or JPP for the same price. Alternative return travel would need be arranged.

Willie Creek – From $891.00

Willie Creek, located about 30 km north of Broome, is a stunning tidal estuary known for its vivid turquoise waters, winding mangrove channels, and striking contrast against the surrounding red pindan earth and white sandy shores. The creek is home to abundant marine life, including barramundi, mud crabs, and even saltwater crocodiles, as well as the famous Willie Creek Pearl Farm.

Flying over Willie Creek in a helicopter is a breathtaking experience because of the incredible natural color palette and the way the tidal movements carve intricate patterns into the landscape. From the air, you can see the full expanse of the winding waterway, the vast tidal flats, and the shimmering blues and greens of the Indian Ocean meeting the creek. The changing tides constantly reshape the scenery, making each flight unique.

At certain times of day, the sunlight enhances the contrast between the red earth, white sands, and clear waters, creating a stunning visual display that looks almost surreal.

Barred Creek – From $1,336.50

• Flight from Broome to Barred Creek & return via Cable Beach, Gantheaume Point, Broome Jetty & Roebuck Bay (45 minutes total).
• Helicopter can land on the beach at the rugged cliffs.
• Neap or smaller spring tides only; helicopter must land above the high water mark.
• Accessible by car, so not 100% private.
• Price includes two hours on the ground/time for ceremony and photos.

Gantheaume Point – From $742.50

• Helicopter can land near the ramp at Gantheaume Beach (southern end of Cable Beach).
• Shire permission required; approval process takes about three months ($85 + permit fee).
• Cannot land on the cliffs at Gantheaume Point.
• Price for Broome Airport to Gantheaume Beach return (30-minute minimum applies).

Got a different location in mind? You can charter a helicopter flight to just about anywhere around Broome or Derby.
