This Mangrove Hotel Wedding was a long time coming. BJ and Jerrilee initially planned their wedding for 2018, but due to the unexpected arrival of their little boy Hugo, dates were bumped to this year. It was worth the wait!
The day kicked off with BJ and the boys getting ready in one of the villas at the Billi Resort. The couple had booked out the place for three days, allowing all their guests to be accommodated in one place.
Meanwhile, the girls got ready at a friends house in town. With Jerrilee’s grandmother unwell and unable to travel, being able to FaceTime with her was very special and meant that Jerrilee and her grandmother could have a quick chat before leaving for the ceremony at the Mangrove Hotel.
A very special part of the day for Jerrilee was when she was walking down the aisle and saw BJ and all their family and friends for the first time. The Macrame wedding backdrop by Hang Me Up looked amazing on the bamboo arbour, especially with the turquoise water of Roebuck Bay behind it. When I asked the couple about their experience with the ceremony venue, Jerrilee replied “The Mangrove Hotel was amazing! Saira and her team had every detail mapped out and planned for us, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We chose the Mangrove Hotel so we could show our guests, especially those from Victoria, the beautiful ocean views that Broome offers.”
