BROOME FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

without awkward posing or forced smiles

Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION

What's your approach to family photography?

ANSWER

My approach is quite informal, unstructured and fun. I capture families in an authentic and creative way that documents real connections and personalities. No awkward posing or forced smiles.

QUESTION

Do you offer newborn photography sessions?

ANSWER

Yes and I love them! My newborn photography sessions turn the traditional newborn photography model on its head by ditching the props and photographing a newborn in its natural habitat. That’s the style I like. No awkward posing, backdrops, and no menagerie of props. My approach to newborn photography is natural and simplistic, with the focus all on your precious new baby.

QUESTION

How long does our session go for?

ANSWER

Depending on the photography package you choose sessions run between 45-90 minutes and can be held either at your home, around your neighbourhood or anywhere around the Broome area.

QUESTION

We don't live in Broome. Do you service my area?

ANSWER

I am based in Broome, Western Australia but love to travel all over the Kimberley for shoots including the Dampier Peninsula, Derby, Eco Beach and beyond.

QUESTION

How can I book my photography session?

ANSWER

Simply get in touch by filling in the contact form to book a session with me as your newborn, maternity or family photographer. Once we've agreed on a date I will send through a retainer invoice and an online agreement for you to sign. Once all that is done your session is confirmed.

QUESTION

How do we receive our photos?

ANSWER

Your photographs will be individually edited by me and presented to you via a beautiful private online gallery that you can share with family and friends. You will receive your gallery within 2 weeks of your shoot.

QUESTION

What should we wear?

ANSWER

Wear fun and comfortable clothes! On the beach, pastel or bright colours work well. Light cotton clothes, summer dresses, t-shirts and shorts are great.
Avoid logos on shirts as they can be distractive. Don’t try to match each other, just try not to clash. Be yourselves!

QUESTION

When is the best time for maternity or newborn photography sessions?

ANSWER

I like to book in maternity shoots for the 32-36 week mark, for maximum comfort, mobility and a really beautiful big belly. For newborn sessions I suggest around the 1-2 week mark if possible but later is ok, too.

QUESTION

Do you have printed products available?

ANSWER

At this stage no, sorry.
