Kahlee and Jake’s wedding at the Broome Fishing Club was a joy filled party set against the stunning Kimberley backdrop. Think boho beach vibes, red earth and ocean views. We started the day at the Kimberley Sands Resort, where Jake and the boys kicked off the day. Meanwhile, Kahlee and the girls got ready at the Billi Resort, which is just around the corner. It’s one of the great things about having your wedding in Broome. Nothing is ever too far away.
I love that there are so many carefully thought-out pretty things to photograph at a wedding: invitations, a beautiful dress, gorgeous flowers etc. But ultimately, that’s not what the day is really about. A wedding is about people – friends and family; those who you love most in this life, and who you absolutely must have around you. This was the first time I photographed a wedding at the Broome Fishing Club and I think it’s a fantastic venue. You can even have a bon fire and a sparkler machine! There was loads of dancing, thoughtful and funny speeches, heaps of great food and an impromptu dance off by the groom.
