What are the legal requirements to elope in Australia?

Relationship

Not be married to anyone else, including each other, and not be marrying a close relative 

age

Be at least 18 years old, unless a court approves a marriage between someone who is 16–18 and another person.

consent

Understand what marriage means and freely agree to marry.

notice

Give a Notice of Intended Marriage form to an authorised marriage celebrant at least one month before the wedding. 

ceremony

Be married by an authorised marriage celebrant who uses the correct words during the ceremony. 

documents

Provide original birth certificates or passports, or an English translation.

witnesses

Have two witnesses who are at least 18 years old and sign the marriage certificate

This all-inclusive elopement package is all about stripping everything back to what really matters – the two of you, a beautiful location and a relaxed, meaningful way to get married in Broome. Invite up to 12 guests to your ceremony.

For couples who want a wedding day that feels a little more like an adventure, this all-inclusive helicopter elopement experience has you covered. Zero stress guaranteed. Invite up to 12 guests to your ceremony. Helicopter flight for 2 pax + photographer.

Available Sunday through Thursday only.

We start with a relaxed ceremony at the stunning Gantheaume Point with a celebrant who takes care of all the legal bits. Afterwards, we head to the airport and jump in a helicopter for a scenic flight out to the incredible James Price Point where we’ll land right in front of the famous red cliffs for a little explore, some epic photos and a celebratory champagne pop. This package also includes hair and makeup for one, a beautiful bouquet and transport to and from your accommodation. We’ll wrap up the day with sunset photos on the iconic Cable Beach – the perfect end to a wildly fun wedding day.

Take in the incredible Kimberley coastline from above with a scenic helicopter flight from Broome to James Price Point, including approximately one hour of total flying time.

Broome elopement wedding at Cable Beach

CABLE BEACH

Undoubtedly one of Broome’s most popular locations to get married, this 22km long stretch of sand is spectacular.

REDDELL BEACH

One of my favourite beaches around Broome. Despite being only ten minutes from the town centre it’s usually very quiet and features amazing red cliffs.

Rugged, remote and incredibly beautiful, James Price Point features dramatic red cliffs dropping into turquoise water. Located about an hour north of Broome and accessible by 4WD or helicopter, it’s perfect for adventurous couples wanting a truly off-the-beaten-track elopement location.

Stunning Eco Beach is located just over an hour’s drive south of Broome and features a beautiful, pristine 15km long beach and Eco Beach Retreat.

How about a scenic helicopter flight at Willie Creek Pearl Farm before saying your I do’s at this magnificent tidal river, just 38km north of Broome.

Located 200km north of Broome on the Dampier Peninsula on Bardi Jawi country you will find Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm. A fabulous location with a range of accommodation options, an infinity pool and a restaurant. Open all year round.

SIMPSON BEACH

Simpson Beach is a hidden gem, nestled along the shores of Roebuck Bay, where red pindan cliffs contrast with the turquoise waters and mangrove-lined shoreline. Accessible via the top car park and a set of stairs leading down to the beach, this east-facing spot offers a stunning, intimate setting for your elopement.

Make a booking

Once you’ve decided we’re the perfect fit, securing your date is easy.  I’ll send you a link to your booking page that will include your contract and initial invoice for the booking fee. After the contract is signed and the booking fee paid, your date is officially locked in.

I tend to book dates 6-12 months in advance. Certain months book quicker than others so as soon as you have a date in mind send me an enquiry.

Absolutely! There are certain factors I consider when planning your wedding timeline. One being, when the sun will be setting, which will dictate how much available day light we have. Another factor I consider is what’s most important for you both as a couple. We can discuss these details during our initial Zoom call.

Yes! A common misconception about elopements is that it only has to be only the couple, but that is not true. Typically, elopements don’t have more than 10-15 people in attendance. 

Your photographs will be individually edited and presented to you via a password protected online gallery.

Your will receive your gallery within 3-4 weeks.

Simply get in touch by filling in the contact form below and tell me a little bit about yourself and what you have in mind for your photo session. Once we have agreed on a date, I will email you a retainer invoice and an online agreement for you to sign so we can lock things in.
