Eco Beach Resort – A Guide to Your Perfect Wedding

A couple in formal attire embraces on a sandy beach at sunset, capturing the essence of Eco Beach Resort Weddings. The woman wears a white dress and veil, while the man dons a light suit, framed by the ocean and sun for a warm, romantic atmosphere.

Eco Beach Resort has this incredible way of making everything feel effortlessly relaxed and intimate. From the moment you turn off the highway and hit that red dirt road, about an hour and a half out of Broome, you’ll find yourself feeling relaxed. No distractions, just nature all around. I love that this remote paradise allows couples to be fully present with each other, which translates into weddingphotos that look authentic and natural. Eco Beach Resort offers diverse accommodation choices for you and your guests. From stylish air-conditioned villas with ocean views to luxurious safari tents with private bathrooms and two exclusive clifftop Beach Houses. Even better, couples have the option to have their ceremony at four stunning locations throughout the property. I’ve outlined them all for you below.

CEREMONY OPTION 1: GET MARRIED ON THE BEACH

If you want to get married right by the water, choose the beach for your ceremony but do check with the resort first as large Kimberley tides and wet season storms can expose rocks, making some areas inaccessible. Depending on the exact location, your guests will be invited to a 5-10-minute stroll along the beach to reach the ceremony spot. The walk gives everyone a chance to soak up the views, feel the ocean breeze, and settle into the atmosphere before things officially kick off.

It’s a good idea to chat with the resort staff about setting up a water station on site, or even better, arranging a few eskies filled with Champagne (and water bottles) for a celebratory toast after the ceremony. Just a little heads-up: there’s zero shade on the beach, so it’s worth thinking ahead for your guests’ comfort. Hiring some parasols is a simple (and photogenic!) way to offer a bit of relief from the sun. Not only do they add a touch of charm but your guests will thank you for the shade while they wait for you to walk down the aisle. Sun umbrellas are another option and you can reach out to the resort staff regarding these.

Check out Ness and Dean’s Eco Beach Resort Wedding here for an example of a beach ceremony. The couple had booked the resort exclusively.

CEREMONY OPTION 2: SAY I DO IN FRONT OF THE BEACH HOUSES

If you’re after the most private spot for your Eco Beach Resort wedding, the area in front of the two beach houses is the perfect choice. Perched on a clifftop with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, these houses are connected by wooden decks and boardwalks, creating a secluded and stunning setting. Each house sleeps up to six guests, and you’ll have the space all to yourself. Trust me, the views will leave you speechless! This spot is perfect for intimate weddings of up to 40 guests.

Do yourself a favour and check out Nicole & Jai’s Eco Beach wedding, the couple had their ceremony in front of the beach houses.

CEREMONY OPTION 3: SHARE YOUR VOWS AT SUNSET POINT

Sunset Point at Eco Beach Resort is another truly breathtaking location for an intimate wedding ceremony, offering panoramic ocean views and dramatic coastal cliffs. This secluded spot, just a 15-minute shuttle ride from the resort, provides an intimate and unforgettable setting. The journey to Sunset Point adds to the experience, building anticipation as guests travel through the rugged landscape to arrive at this awe-inspiring destination. For your sunset photos I would take you down to the beach and while it’s a bit of a scramble, the payoff is incredible. Let me assure you, the golden sunset at this Eco Beach location is something else!

CEREMONY OPTION 4: OVERLOOK THE BEACH AND BE CLOSE TO JACKS BAR

Another option for your ceremony is a flat, sandy area close to the resort, with uninterrupted views over the beach. This location is especially ideal if you’re looking to stay closer to the main facilities, have elderly guests attending, or simply want to be within easy reach of Jack’s Bar. Additionally, for your sunset photos, we’ll head down to the beach—either on foot or by beach buggy, if you arrange it with the resort beforehand.

HAVE YOUR RECEPTION UNDER THE KIMBERLEY STARS AT ECO BEACH RESORT

For your reception sink your toes into the sand while enjoying a long table dinner down near the beach or choose to dine at Jack’s Bar & Restaurant with an exquisite menu prepared by the in-house chef and the team. At Eco Beach Resort you even have the option to have a warming fire for your outdoor reception and honestly, there’s something so special about gathering around an open fire under the stars. It adds such a cozy, relaxed vibe to the evening—guests wrapped in blankets, wine in hand, tunes playing and fire crackling away. It’s the kind of atmosphere that makes the whole night feel extra memorable if you ask me.

WHY NOT ARRIVE BY HELICOPTER?

Whether you’re planning an elopement or an intimate wedding with a few loved ones, a helicopter wedding is an experience you’ll never forget. Frontier Helicopters (formerly known at KAS Helicopters) offers couples the ultimate adventure wedding—whisking you away to breathtaking, remote locations. For more information about helicopter weddings and elopements read this post on my blog.

As a Broome wedding photographer who’s been lucky enough to capture countless love stories at Eco Beach Resort over the years, I can honestly say it’s one of the most breathtaking places to get married. Being a local to the area also means I’ve built great relationships with other trusted vendors in the region, which helps your day run smoothly from start to finish. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like the world has paused, just for your wedding—and that magic always comes through in the photos.

Destination weddings at Eco Beach Resort are such a dream—and honestly, they’re the perfect excuse for a little getaway! Whether it’s just you and your partner eloping or you’re bringing along your favourite people, it turns your wedding into a proper holiday.
